Nike Air Flight Condor - white / black / cement grey

KICKS/HI just added a bunch of Nikes from their May 2009 shipment, including this Nike Air Flight Condor. I already liked the silhouette of the Condor, Nike's attempt at a low cut Flight 89, but seeing this Jordan IV inspired white / black / cement grey colourway has definitely convinced me to get a pair.

Available now from KICKS/HI

Nike Air Max 90 Infrared x Nike Air Trainer 1

Nike Air Max Trainer 90
Interesting, huh? Firstly, it's only a concept, and not a Nike concept at that. This Nike Air Max 90 Infrared x Nike Air Trainer 1 hybrid was put together by Cellophane and Plus 41.

I don't mind these. Not sure I'd wear them myself, but one thing's for sure - I prefer this to the Nike Air Max 1 x Nike Air Trainer 1 which Nike has scheduled for release this year.

Women's Nike Air Classic BW - white / black / persian violet

NIKE AIR CLASSIC BW PERSIAN (WMNS)
SneakerFreaker have just posted a few photos of the above women's Nike Air Classic BW in a white / black / persian violet colourway. No word on if or when these are releasing, however if they do I'll definitely be hunting down a pair of women's size 12s.

Check out more photos here

UPDATE: these are available now at Purchaze...

Nike Air Max 90 - white / varsity royal / obsidian

Nike Air Max 90 White Varsity Royal Obsidian
Purchaze have just listed these Nike Air Max 90s in a white / varsity royal / obsidian colourway While at first glance they look good, there are two details I don't like, and based on those I won't be rushing out to find these. Firstly, the mud guard while looking black is actually obsidian. And secondly, Nike have used that hexagonal mesh. It's a shame, as otherwise these come so close to perfection.

Nike Air Max 90 Classic - White / Max Orange / Black

nike-air-max-90-classic-white-max-orange-black-02
This isn't the first time we've seen an Nike Air Max 90 'Infrared' inspired colourway using Max Orange, however this one falls a little short of the previous effort. For one, Nike has chosen to use their newer style hexagonal mesh which I'm not a fan of. None the less these will sure to be a favourite of many and we'll definitely be trying to source this white / max orange / black oclourway once released.

Air Jordan 16.5

Dsc_3770_crop
Brand Jordan has released photos of the next in their .5 line; the Jordan 16.5. Taking much of the sole, patent toe, black / red colourway and side mesh from the Air Jordan XVI, and the higher upper including the lace holes from the XVII, this is actually a pretty good looking sneaker. Set for release at Footlocker in November 2009, these will be on my pick up list.

Air Jordan 1 Hare

icon

Eastbay has just released the Air Jordan 1 Hareicon, which are apparently limited to 35,000 pairs. While this isn't as limited as some of the rarer releases seen over the years, given the numbers which are typically released this is a drop in the ocean. The detail on these is fantastic. Definitely one of the best Jordan releases we've seen in a while...

Nike Dunk Low Pro SB - black / white / black

iconicon
CCS just released this new Nike Dunk Low Pro SB. The Dunks Nike SB has been releasing for a while have been a little too wild for my liking, and perhaps as a result of there not being an infinite number of colourway possibilities, they've gone back to basics with this black / white / black release. I like...

Nike Air Zoom Soldier III (Lebron) Playoff

Nike has a playoff colourway of the Nike Air Zoom Soldier III (Lebron) coming out shortly and I'm definitely going to cop a pair. After balling for years in Jordan XIs and eventually running out, my favourite shoes to ball in for the last little while have been the Zoom Lebron II. I've been looking for a replacement for the past few months and I think this just might be it!

Available now on eBay from SUCREAM

Air Jordan AJF9 releasing this weekend

AJF 9

AJF 9

Footlocker has a couple of colourways of the Air Jordan AJF9 releasing this weekend. I'm not a fan of either Air Force 1s nor the Air Jordan IX, but it's been interesting seeing the AJF series of hybrids releasing over the past year or so. What started out as a Jordan inspried AF1 seems to have morphed into a AF1 inspired Jordan line. Sound confusing? The earlier releases mostly had Air Force 1 uppers with selected feetures from whichever Jordan they represented. The more recent releases have been made up mostly of a Jordan upper with a modified Air Force 1 sole. I'm hoping Nike has an AJF9 Low in the works...

Ben Drury / Dizzee Rascal x Nike Air Max 90

dr_am90_72.jpg
Dizzee Rascall and Ben Drury have both done collaborations with Nike the in past. While Dizzee Rascall's were super limited and almost impossible to find, Ben Drury's effort was more available and a lot more asthetically pleasing. Accrding to Ben Drury's blog, they have a joint collaboration in the works which is an Air Max 90. The above shot is the only image available currently, but I'll be keeping an eye out for more...

Nike Air Pegasus 89 Retro - white / black / rave pink

Rave Pink seems to be a favourite of Nike's at the moment, making an appearance on this new Nike Air Pegasus colourway. The white / black / rave pink colourway, available now from Caliroots, would not look out of place alongside the swan red or vivid blue original colourways which we should have in soon.

Nike Air Tailwind 92 - royal / black / volt / white

Nike has released their second new colourway of the Nike Air Tailwind 92 retro. This royal / black / volt / white colourway has been selected from a palette Nike used frequently during the late 80s and early 90s, and seems to be back for 2009. The above colourway is available now from Purchaze.

Nike Shox BB4 Retro

Foot Locker and Nike's House of Hoops stores have a limited release retro of the shox BB4 coming out on April 14. It would be wrong to mention the Shox BB4 without bringing up Vince Carter, and specifically his dunk over 7'2" Frédéric Weis at the 2000 Olympics in Sydney while wearing the BB4.

Check out the dunk here -

While searching for the above video I also found this one, containing a lot of less seen Vince Carter highlights from the 2000 Olympics -

Nike Air Max 95 - white / medium orange / black

Nike seems to have a lot of releases of the Air Max 95 in the works for 2009 which are more in line with the original colourways from 1995. This white / medium orange / black Air Max 95 is due to drop at Foot Locker in the US in May.

Nike Air Classic BW - white / black / persian violet ?

Caliroots recently added this leather white / black / and what could possibly be persian violet colourway of the Nike Air Classic BW. The colourway is a little to bland for my liking, although the obviously black / persian violet / white inspired colourway has some nice touches including the embossed tongue. With a mesh toebox, and maybe some persian violet on the swoosh and midsole, these could be even nicer...

Nike Air Yeezy releasing 04/04/09

While I dig both Nike and Kanye West, I just can't seem to extend that fondness to the Nike Air Yeezy, nor understand the hype around this sneaker. My fascination for chunky high top sneakers had diminished by about 1993, and I struggle with anything beyond the likes of a Air Jordan III, which coincidentally shares it's sole with the Air Yeezy. If you're into them though, it looks like they're releasing this week, with Kicks Hawaii promoting the release of a limited number of pairs this Saturday 4th April from their Makaloa store.
